This bonus is targeted for customers on specific BC Hydro feeders located in:
∙Abbotsford
∙Campbell Heights (Surrey/Langley)
∙Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam)
∙Kelowna/Kelowna West

What is the offer?

75% bonus top-up in the Business Energy Saving Incentive Savings (BESI) program:

∙Energy-saving incentives normally cover up to 25%* of the upfront costs.
∙A majority of qualifying buildings on approved feeders will fit under this program.

Here is an example (for illustrative purposes only):

∙ Lighting retrofit project: $100,000
∙ 25% BC Hydro incentive: $25,000
∙ Bonus 75% incentive top-up: $25,000 x .75% = $18,750
∙ Total incentive: $43,750
∙ Total project costs: $56,250

50% bonus top-up in the Industrial Self-Serve Incentive Program (SIP)

∙The average incentive is about 25% of a project’s cost, but for some projects it’s upwards of 50%.
∙This program only caters to larger manufacturing or industrial buildings consuming over 500 megawatt-hours of electricity per year, on approved feeders. 

Here is an example (for illustrative purposes only):

∙ Lighting retrofit budget: $200,000
∙ 35% BC Hydro incentive: $70,000
∙ Bonus 50% incentive top-up: $70,000 x .50% = $35,000
∙ Total incentive: $105,000
∙ Total project costs: $95,000
